Befrielsefonten (The Liberation Front) is a drastic settlement with how men’s sexual violence affects our society. The town of Örebro is shaken by a series of rapes. Anna, a journalist, is to write about the rapes. She experience what fears and limitations means to all women, as well as herself. She is confronted with a group called Women´s Liberation Front, which manifest is to meet violence with violence.
We wanted the production to be aggressive and powerful as well as empowering and optimistic. I used the architecture from a real car tunnel and stylized it to a clean shape, an urban environment most women are afraid of passing at night. A billboard above showed films and adverts showing the commercialization and sexualization of women.

Everything glides through, told with effortless care and humor. But seriousness is there as a rough clinging board, someone wins on that women are held in an ongoing low-intensity fear.
Föreställningen är en färgrik fruktsallad där inslag finns från allt från antikens teater till revy, politisk propagandateater och musikteater à la 60-70 tal. / Brännande tema, vassa skådespelare, kul kostym och en och annan överaskning. /Scenen är tredelad och lutar delvis i 45 grader, vilket gör att man som publik får bra överblick./ Bild, ljud och videosekvenser är en del av pjäsen. Reklambilder av lättklädda kvinnor. Sekvenser från parker och stadsgator i svag belysning.

The show is a colorful fruit salad with elements from everything from ancient theater to the revue, political propaganda theater and musical theater à la the 60ies -70ies. / A burning theme, sharp actors, fun costume and some surprises. / The scene is three-tiered and leans partly at 45 degrees, which means that the audience have a great overview. / Image, audio and video sequences are part of the play. Promotional photos of sexualized women. Sequences from parks and city streets in low light.
